Goal - Migrate web framework to ASP.NET Core (.NET 6) (EnduraCode)
  • The web framework's Chart now uses the new component model and therefore is no longer dependent on Web Forms.
  • Entity setups are now plain C# classes and are fully compatible with the new component model. There is also no longer a separation between request-time code and meta logic (i.e. Info classes). This is a significant breaking change.
EnduraCode support - Ad Hoc Development
  • In the web framework, you can now specify a static ID for a component if you need to reference it from CSS or JavaScript files. Use the clientSideIdOverride parameter to do this.
  • The web framework now expects development installations to use ports 44310 (HTTPS) and 44311 (HTTP) with IIS Express, to avoid conflicts with other non-EWL projects that may exist on the machine. This is a breaking change. Please update the .csproj files for your web projects. We also recommend removing the corresponding .csproj.user files since they often contain duplicate settings that would now be outdated.
